Carolina Oyster Shell Trinket/Dish
Carolina Oyster Shell Trinket/Dish
Oyster shells are beautifully, intricately and uniquely created by nature, the way God intended. So what better way to take a piece of nature and bring into your home? Each oyster shell I transform comes from right here off the South Carolina and North Carolina Coasts. The oysters were either eaten by family and friends who then passed the shells on to me, or the shells were actually picked up off the beach by my friends and I. Each shell has been thoroughly washed, bleached, and sun-dried to bring out the whiteness of each shell, then if needed, hand painted white on the inside. NO two shells are exactly the same, which is why they are so unique and would make great gifts...such as a housewarming, wedding, Mother's Day, Christmas, birthday, and many more. Â

This beautiful Carolina oyster shell dish/trinket can be used as a ring or coin dish or simply put on display as decor.  It is decoupaged using a South Carolina napkin featuring the Palmetto tree and moon, watermelon (local’s summer fav), the Sky Wheel of Myrtle Beach, golf, hotels and sailboats.  It is trimmed with Metalic Gold paint and the back of the shell has been left natural. This oyster shell measures 3 inches and can be trimmed with gold leaf for $3.00 extra.
